Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers!
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET MY CARPETS CLEANED?
Clean to the soil conditions. This depends on how much traffic you have and other factors such as pets and children. When you notice traffic patterns appearing, try to stay on top of it with regularly scheduled cleanings. Most manufacturers recommend at least one steam cleaning every 12-18 months.
SHOULD I HAVE YOU APPLY PROTECTOR?
YES! Most carpet manufacturers recommend the re-application of protector after every steam cleaning. Re-applying protector to your carpet and upholstery assists in future spot removal, makes future cleanings more successful, and it helps prolong the life of your textiles.
HOW SOON CAN I WALK ON THE CARPET AFTER YOU CLEAN IT?
Dry time is typically 6-12 hours. We suggest as little foot traffic as possible after cleaning but we know it is inevitable…we have shoe covers available or you may wear clean white socks to walk on the carpet after cleaning. (NO BARE FEET! NO DOGS FOR AT LEAST 6 HOURS!) We recommend you wait 24 hours before placing furniture back that may trap any moisture (i.e. area rugs, office mats, etc.). Any and all air circulation will assist in the drying process. Ceiling fans and central air units help tremendously. Your a/c will extract moisture from the air and dehumidify so your carpet will dry well in the summer months. Weather permitted, open doors and windows to maximize air flow throughout the house.
CAN YOU HELP WITH REOCCURRING SPOTS?
We can help remove most spots. However, there are many factors that come in to play such as the origin of the spot, how long it has been there, if it is in a heavily trafficked area, and if it has been previously treated or not. We have an array of specialty solutions and tools for treating troubled spots so please be specific with us on details and help us diagnose the spots properly. Recurring carpet spots are generally due to residues left behind by previous spot cleaning attempts. Steam cleaning these types of spots is the only way to get them out for good. Our technician will educate you on what to expect and try their best to get the spot out. Some stains are damaged goods and will not respond to any type of cleaning.
CAN YOU GET URINE STAINS OUT?
We have many different solutions available to treat carpet stains such as urine and odor issues. Unfortunately extensive pet stains go much further down into the flooring than just the carpet. Heavy spotting can get into the carpet backing, carpet pad, and even into the sub-floor below the pad. Our technicians use ultraviolet light to detect how severe the issue is and will educate you on what the options for cleaning are. The longer you let urine stains go untreated, the less chance you have of removing them and their odor.
CAN YOU GET WINE STAINS OUT?
We offer specific solutions available to treat wine stains. As in all spots, the longer the spot goes untreated the less chance you have of removing them. Note: Do not attempt to bleach your carpet, and avoid stain removers that could potentially cause bleach spots such as Oxy cleaning agents.
CAN YOU PERFORM CARPET REPAIRS?
Yes! Most carpet repairs require additional carpeting. Please have pieces/scraps of carpet that match available for us upon arrival.
CAN I GET MY CARPETS AS CLEAN BY DOING THEM MYSELF?
NO!!! Rental machines and at-home cleaners often have very poor recovery of water (vacuum strength) as well as lack of HOT water. Continued misuse causes clogged jets therefore resulting in uneven distribution of water. Chemicals and solutions sold over the counter are most often overused, misused and leave residues behind and/or could damage your carpet. Residues can lead to browning, streaking, bleaching and recurring spots. Truck mounted steam cleaning is the most recommended cleaning process by most major carpet manufacturers.
DO YOU MOVE MY FURNITURE WHEN YOU COME TO CLEAN THE CARPETS?
Our regular pricing includes moving couches, chairs, tables and smaller items per your request. There is an additional cost to move heavier items such as beds, dressers, etc. All valuables and fragile items will be asked to be moved by the client. We will put blocks and pads under all the furniture we move after the cleaning is complete.
How can I take care of regular spills around my house to prevent stains?
Always have carpet protector re-applied after each cleaning. This application ensures you of the best protection possible against re-soiling and stains.
We will supply you with a bottle of spotter to use on general spotting (see bottle for use)! When cleaning spots, use a clean white terry cloth and always clean from the outside of the spot inward (do not spread spot outward).
Do not use aerosol cleaners as they easily oversaturate the carpet and create a residue you will not be able to remove without an extraction process.
PET STAINS: for best results, catch them when they are fresh. You can pour water directly onto the spot and use a wet-vac to extract as much as you can. If the spot dries and is still noticeable, we recommend Natures Miracle. (You can find this product at your local pet supply shop; use as directed). The longer you let urine stains go untreated, the less chance you have of removing them and their odor.
Why do you use the Steam Cleaning Method?
Steam Cleaning is the method nearly all carpet manufacturers and carpet fiber producers recommend because of its use of external extraction. The method of STEAM CLEANING/HOT WATER EXTRACTION is the only way to thoroughly clean your carpet and leave NO soap residue, chemicals, or dirt behind.
What are all of the services you offer?
Carpet Steam Cleaning/Protector, Tile & Grout Cleaning/Sealing/Grout Dying, Upholstery Cleaning/Protector, Oriental & Area Rug Cleaning, Carpet Repairs & Re-installation, Independent Carpet Inspections & Corrections.
What should I do BEFORE my carpet cleaner arrives?
Vacuum and pick up all small items. (Remove fragile items from furniture we may be asked to move). Remove any furniture off the carpet as you see fit. Weather permitted, open doors and windows to assist in air flow for advanced drying time. Turn you air conditioning on in the summer months. The a/c will extract moisture from the air and dehumidify so your carpets will dry quickest. Turn on any ceiling fans as well.
*Note for Commercial Clients: please pick up all cardboard boxes, paper products, chair mats, and waste baskets.
How can I keep my carpet looking clean AFTER my carpet is cleaned?
Always Re-apply carpet protector. This application assures you of the best protection possible against re-soiling and stains. Dry time is typically 6-12 hours. We suggest as little foot traffic as possible after cleaning but we know it is inevitable…we have shoe covers available or you may wear clean white socks to walk on the carpet after cleaning. (No Bare feet! NO DOGS FOR AT LEAST 6 HOURS!)

Do you offer GREEN cleaning for people with allergies or odor sensitivity?
YES! We have green solutions available for you by special request. Please call us and let us know what your sensitivities are so we can determine the best method for your needs.
What is the best thing I can do to care for my carpet?
Vacuum regularly: Our rule of thumb is to vacuum once per week per person in your household. 20% of the carpet gets 80% of the foot traffic! Spend more time vacuuming in the high traffic areas (the 20%).
General spotting: use the spot cleaner we will supply you with to clean any spots that may occur. ( see bottle for use)
*Note: walking with bare feet on carpet is one of the worst things you can do for your carpet. Oils from our feet, dogs as well, contribute to the dark traffic areas we see in our homes. Also, NEVER apply lotion on your feet and then walk on the carpet with bare feet! Lotions can cause major damage to the high traffic areas you walk in and create very dark traffic patterns that are very difficult to clean. When cleaning spots, use a clean white terry cloth and always clean from the outside of the spot inward (do not spread spot outward).
*Use walk-off mats at all doorways from outside to help prevent dry particulates from entering the home.
Why should I have my tile/grout cleaned regularly?
Ceramic tile is one of the most abused and overlooked floor and wall surfaces in our homes simply because of the care involved in cleaning it. No one loves to scrub tile and grout on their knees with irritating, harsh, and unsafe chemicals. Mopping causes dirty water and soap residue to accumulate in porous grout lines and crevices in tile. Steam cleaning is the only true way to clean your tile & grout leaving NO soap residue, chemicals, or dirt behind.

Is it true that my carpet will never be the same after cleaning for the first time or it will get dirtier quicker?
Not if your carpets are steam cleaned correctly! Our Hot Water Extraction process is the only method that will return your carpet to factory like condition. This is why the truck mounted STEAM CLEANING method is so vital to our success. This negative stigma has been caused by other carpet cleaners that use different cleaning methods such as poor water extractions, shampooing, and bonnet cleaning. These methods all leave behind chemicals and residue from lack of extraction.
See our 8 Step Carpet Cleaning Process.
Can you help with furniture indentations in my carpet?
This depends on the type of carpet fibers you have. Nylon carpet indentations can come out nicely because the carpet fibers are very resilient, especially when they are wet. However, the backing of the carpet may stretch and the pad may be flattened out so the indention may still be noticeable. Olefin and Poly blended carpet fibers are plastic-like and have very little rebound and furniture indentations are not likely to come out.
